Young People Urged to Get into Positive Activities
A dispersal zone is to be implemented for five months, starting on the 1 July. This means that in specific areas, groups of people who may be involved in anti social behaviour can be made to move from the dispersal zone, by the safer neighbourhood team.
Streets that are subject to the dispersal zone are: Radford Street, Hardwick Road East and Hardwick Road West, Featherstone Avenue, Rushey Close, part of Shrewsbury Road (between Radford Street and Featherstone Avenue) and Manton Villas.
A variety of sporting activities are to be provided around Manton during the summer holidays and any young people obliged to move from the dispersal zones will be encouraged to get involved in these positive activities. The programme of events, trips and activities being offered in Manton, will be promoted on this website, and in the Manton Newsletter.
