Welcome to Manton Community
Through this website, you can find out about all the exciting activities that are happening in Manton, and the people working in the Issue Groups and Community Groups that make up the Manton Community Alliance.
What does the Alliance do?
Manton Community Alliance provides an effective way of managing change in the local neighbourhood. Manton Community Alliance is made up of local people working together with the organisations and agencies that provide a service in Manton.
If you live in Manton, being part of the Alliance gives you the chance to help make a difference to things that concern or interest you.
This kind of neighbourhood management is effective because local people are involved in helping organisations to provide services that are needed and appropriate to Manton.
If you would like to be involved in any of the activities you see on this site, call into the Manton Community Alliance office on Edinburgh Road, phone us on 01909 535193 or for more information contact us.
How's it going to work?
For this process to work − and more importantly, for it to last − people need to get involved. There are several groups in Manton, each dealing with a particular issue of concern.
Service providers attend these meetings so there is always the opportunity for local residents to provide an input and influence decisions that are made. Meetings take place in the community, at times to suit group members, and childcare is available if needed. Each issue group is represented on the main Manton Community Alliance Board.
If you would like to be involved in any of the activities you see on this site, call into the Manton Community Alliance office on Edinburgh Road, or phone us on 01909 535193 for more information.
